In Search of Victory part-11

 2nd August 1975,

Dear Diary,

I, Juan Perón, President of Argentina believe that we finally we can reunify Argentina and end the divide that has been formed in our country by the US since they decided to divide our country for their own benefits. However, my people have fought bravely against the US and has forced them to withdraw all their troops in 1974, but the CIA has still continued to actively support General Garcia in the North as well as has played an active part in crushing political opposition and guerilla outfits in Chile, Bolivia and Paraguay. In fact, military juntas have come up in those countries which have effectively ended their democracy and made them pawns at the hands of American corporations which actually run America and have also tried to decide the fate of Latin America. As we march towards Buenos Aires, I have made a promise that I will not allow the American corporations to dominate us again. Argentina will serve those who make up the country including the workers, peasants and local industrialists. We will achieve a synthesis between private enterprise and worker's rights, a synthesis that's so urgently required but lacking in the West.

I will also strive to ensure that no Argentinian is left out when the Nation rebuilds itself. Argentina deserves its democracy back again and deserves to have its future to be decided by its own people as well as the rule of law. And although I greatly remain indebted to the USSR and Cuba for their help during the war, we will not join the Communist bloc, rather we should be wary of the ideology of Communism as it destroys free enterprise. Instead, I believe that Argentina should strive to unite the whole of Latin America under a single bloc so that the interests of Latin Americans are protected against the might of the superpowers. However, that will be difficult as the superpowers continue to exploit the Latin American people for their own selfish gains. From Brazil to Bolivia, the whole of Latin America is bleeding because of the selfishness of the superpowers and the Latin Americans have to take back their freedom. I am sure we will be able to do it and assert our place in the world. I believe that the time has come for the Latin American people to show that they will not be trampled over by the selfishness and the greed of superpowers. We must restore democracy in the region and must strive to remove the military juntas created by the West. Long live Argentina and Latin America!
